Violin Teacher & Guitar Teacher Positions
Qualifications:
Responsibilities:
- AT LEAST 2 years of teaching experience with younger kids to adults (Required)
- Earned or working towards Bachelor’s Degree in Music, Education highly preferred
- Demonstrate comprehensive ability and experience in performance in Violin AND/OR Guitar (other instruments is a plus!)
- Excellent and effective communication skills (verbal and written), organizational and interpersonal skills
- Open to training, feedback, support, and professional development in a team environment
- Dedication and commitment to teaching beginning and experienced musicians, and to executing equitable and culturally responsive teaching practices
- Must be flexible and able to adhere to the teaching schedule provided
- Teaching schedule may include weekday afternoons, evenings, depending upon school needs and candidate availability, and as determined by admin
Responsibilities:
- Conduct weekly private lesson instruction for instrument
- Private lessons conducted for children through adults and beginner to advanced level
- Report on students' progress and workload
- Advise students and parents on goal setting, improvement, and encouraging fun and inspiration with music instruction
- Willing to participate in performances and recitals (optional)
- Positive and willing to contribute to a committed teaching staff team
- Maintain an active, visible professional profile
Office Manager
The Office Manager will hold a supervisory role coordinating studio activities, maintaining student records and schedules, manage financial transactions, work collaboratively with the teaching and administrative team, and assist with marketing. They will serve as the studio liaison to the local school district and occasionally visit area campuses to promote collaboration through programs offered by CMS.

- Minimum of 2 years of administrative/office management experience
- Earned or working towards a Bachelor’s Degree
- Clear, effective written and verbal communication skills
- Interpersonal skills and cultural competency - capable of working closely with faculty, students and families from diverse backgrounds
- Punctual, outgoing, and capable of maintaining professional demeanor under all circumstances
- Self-motivated, able to work independently, and capable of executing directions accurately and efficiently
- Flexible, resourceful and capable of working in a fast-paced, team environment
- Detail-oriented, and proficient organizational and time management skills
- Experience with scheduling programs highly preferred
- Experienced with basic office equipment and technology
- Experienced with MS Office, especially MS Word, Excel
- Experienced with management of Facebook, Instagram, and other social media platforms for marketing
- Prior Customer Service Experience
- Experience with Google Drive, Quickbooks for Small Businesses, Weebly, Wordpress, MailChimp highly preferred
- Experience with Graphic Design a MAJOR plus!
- Passion in Music, the Creative Arts and/or Education
- Assisting students and parents with registration and scheduling of student lessons
- Maintaining student records
- Managing student and teacher schedules, and studio event calendar
- Answering phone calls, emails, and walk-in inquiries from prospective students
- Process and manage invoices, payments of tuition, and transaction records
- Collaborate with staff with coordination of studio related projects, like event planning and marketing strategies
- Administrative duties such as filing, making copies, etc.
- Maintain communications with school families
- Coordinating marketing efforts through social media management, promotional flyers, local publications
- Report weekly to Noemi Camino on studio finances
- Maintain an active and visible professional profile
- Serves as a liaison between the local school districts and occasional school site visits to promote CMS programs offered
